Ram Iyer is the Founder & Independent Director of Vayana Finserve. A serial entrepreneur with over 25 years in the Cash Management and Trade Finance space providing solutions to some of the largest Banks in India and across the globe. At Vayana, Ram has led the company with the vision to democratize access to affordable finance for MSMEs. Previously, he was the co-founder and CEO of CashTech Solutions, a leading Cash Management service provider in Asia which was acquired by Nasdaq-listed Fundtech (now a part of the Finastra Group). He started his career with Accenture in their management consulting arm. A management graduate from IIM Ahmedabad and an Engineer from Mumbai University, Ram carries an exceptional understanding of B2B Trade, Payment Ecosystems, Technology, and how to bring them all together to serve the last mile better via B2B lending.
Ambika is a seasoned banker having worked for over 3 decades in Leadership roles in Corporate Banking, Transaction Banking as well as MSME Banking across India and South Asia. Ambika has built and managed key credit portfolios for leading banks like State Bank of India, Standard Chartered Bank and IDFC First Bank. She was the Country head for IDFC First Bank for the Emerging Corporates and later for Multinational Corporates. Prior to that, she was the Managing Director and Regional Head of Transaction Banking Sales as well as Products at Standard Chartered Bank for India and South Asia, where she handled multiple portfolios over 21 years. Ambika was also instrumental in building and growing SCB India’s Supply Chain Finance portfolio which emerged as the then market leader and built deep relationships with some of the leading corporates in the country. In her early career with State Bank of India, she led the credit relationships with some of the largest Corporate Houses. Ambika has actively worked with Industry Associations and served on multiple committees set up by RBI as well as the Bank’s internal committees at a local and global level. She brings in a combination of business experience and credit understanding in the MSME finance domain, as well as a deep understanding of technology in banking. In her last role she worked with a Singapore headquartered Block chain technology-based Fintech in the Trade Finance digitization domain, DLTLedgers. Ambika has done Master’s in Commerce from Pune University, Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers and alumnus of Said Business School, Oxford UK. Ambika shares Vayana’s vision to enable affordable and convenient credit to SMEs, and subject to RBI’s approval, she will lead Vayana Finserv’s foray in the MSME financing space.
Partha is a seasoned banker with nearly 30 years of experience across RBS, ABN AMRO Bank, Crisil, and Tata Steel. Partha has had the unique perspective of heading risk management in his early professional years before leading teams to build profitable businesses in corporate and investment banking and more recently, in setting up a VC fund in India. Partha is an engineer from IIT, an MBA from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, and an alumnus of Wharton Business School. As Chief Credit and Risk Officer, Partha oversees and monitors the Credit portfolio facilitated by Vayana platforms for its Bank and FI partners and is also responsible for the SME scoring models built in-house.
Murali Ramakrishnan has over 37 years of experience in various facets of Banking and Financial Service Sector namely, Retail, Small and Medium Enterprise, Corporate, Project Finance, International Business, Risk, Policy, BIU etc., in both domestic and international markets. Presently, he is also acting as an independent director on the board of RBL Bank. He retired as the MD & CEO of South Indian Bank in 2023. Prior to this, he was associated with ICICI Bank Limited for more than 20 years where he was heading various Businesses and Control functions.
Mohan Tanksale has over 40 years of experience in the Indian banking industry. He serves as an Independent Director on the Boards of several NBFCs, Housing Finance Companies, Fintech and Wealth Management Companies.He was the CEO of Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) from 2013 to 2016. Prior to this he was the Chairman & MD of Central Bank of India. Through his career, he has held senior positions with Union Bank of India and Punjab National Bank. He is a prolific speaker, and speaks on subjects related to Banking, Economics, Compliance, Strategy and Leadership.
A seasoned banker with over 22 years of experience in Client Relationship & Product Development and worked with various reputable institutions viz HDFC Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and Bank of Baroda through the banking career. Litesh was on the steering committee of NPCI for NACH and UPI. Extensive experience in client relationship management across varied client segments, which required deep understanding of critical business drivers in multiple markets and industries and product expertise for Supply Chain Finance, Cash Management, Payments & Collections systems, Export & Import Finance, Receivable Finance & Trade Business. Highly successful in building relationships, product build & delivery, seizing control of critical problem areas and delivering on customer commitments. Strong Leadership, Analytical, Communication, Organizational and evangelization skills with ability to think strategically and lead teams towards achieving goals. Litesh is an Engineer and has done his Masters’ in Finance.
Aarti Iyer is a seasoned finance professional with over 14 years of diverse experience in the BFSI and Fintech sectors. She has led cross-functional teams in areas such as Finance, Treasury, Asset-Liability Management (ALM), Regulatory Reporting, and Investor Relations. A qualified Chartered Accountant, Aarti has held key leadership positions at organizations including Edelweiss NBFC – ECL Finance Ltd and Rupeek, where she played pivotal roles in treasury management, financial reporting, strategic initiatives, fundraising, compliance, and process automation. Earlier in her career, she gained foundational experience at Jana Small Finance Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank. Her professional journey reflects a strong blend of strategic vision and operational excellence.
